Terms of Service

Last Updated: July 2026

Welcome to Kilo. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Kilo mobile application, website, products, and services (collectively, our "Platform"). Please read these Terms carefully before using our platform.

By creating an account, accessing, or utilizing any portion of our Platform, you enter into a legally binding agreement with Kilo and agree to comply with all guidelines, rules, and contractual limitations detailed below.

1. Scope of the Kilo Platform

Kilo operates as a multi-vertical super-app platform connecting registered customers with independent merchants, drivers, and service providers. Under these terms:

  • Brokerage Model: Kilo does not prepare food, sell groceries, dispense medical goods, manufacture auto parts, perform vehicle repairs, or operate physical passenger transit vehicles. We function strictly as the technology broker linking independent entities together.
  • Independent Contractors: Drivers, delivery riders, auto mechanics, and vendors are independent third-party operators and are not employees, agents, or joint-venturers of Kilo.

2. User Accounts & Eligibility

To use our Platform, you must register a user account. You agree to provide highly accurate, complete registration details and are solely responsible for maintaining security credentials. You must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) to initiate services or conduct financial transactions on the platform.

3. Unified Wallet & Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Terms

Kilo provides a unified digital wallet balance to streamline payments across all service verticals:

  • Funding and Processing: Users may load digital balances via trusted third-party payment gateways (including Stripe and Paystack). Funded balances can be spent on any active service segment in the app.
  • P2P Money Transfers: Transfers sent via the peer-to-peer transfer feature are instant and final. Users are entirely responsible for verifying the receiver's details before authorizing any outbound transfer.
  • Security Controls: Kilo reserves the right to hold, freeze, or terminate transaction permissions if we detect suspicious, fraudulent, or illegal financial activities.

4. Service Vertical Specifications

Each active segment within Kilo carries specific operational requirements that users must respect:

  • Rides & Couriers: Passenger transit trips require mandatory verification using a unique One-Time Password (OTP). Drivers will not proceed with trips until verification is verified on screen.
  • Pharmacy Modules: Users uploading prescriptions for wellness ordering represent and warrant that the prescription image uploaded is valid, unaltered, and issued by a licensed practitioner. Orders are reviewed and ultimately filled directly by partner pharmacies.
  • Mechanic & Repair Module: Payments for labor and parts are collected upfront and held safely in escrow. These pending credits are only released to the mechanic once you review and approve the finished job via the "Job Completion Request". Disputed tasks are subject to standard arbitration.
  • Auto Parts: Custom quotes received from localized vendors reflect their specific inventories, warranties, and item states. High-value automotive parts require standard QR-code receipt verification at the time of delivery.
  • Food & Grocery: Orders rely on prep-aware and rapid merchant-directed dispatch. If selected inventory items are unavailable, substitutions will proceed according to preferences set by the customer during checkout.

5. Acceptable Conduct & System Misuse

Users agree to treat delivery riders, drivers, merchants, and mechanics with respect. You may not use the Platform to conduct illegal transactions, transport prohibited hazardous packages, falsify tracking location nodes, bypass app verification processes, or interfere with system security layers.

6. Limitation of Liability

Kilo provides the Platform and its services "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Kilo shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages resulting from third-party services, transit issues, incomplete mechanic repairs, or delayed food and grocery deliveries.

7. Amendments to these Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time to reflect changing regulations or updated feature dynamics. All updates will be highlighted on this legal notice screen, and continued use of the app signifies explicit agreement to revised structures.
